Providers who already have an existing Exostar account will get a Possible Duplicate Registration alert during the EPCS identity proofing process after they click the Order Token button. If a provider has existing Exostar credentials, they must contact their EMR to have NewCrop copy those credentials to an additional account. Once NewCrop copies the existing Exostar credentials, the provider can begin prescribing controlled substances immediately.
NOTE: No additional payment is required to copy Exostar credentials to an additional account.
Copy an Exostar Registration to an Additional Account
- After the provider clicks the Order Token button, The Possible Duplicate Registration alert displays.
- The provider MUST contact their EMR to have NewCrop copy their Exostar credentials.
NOTE: The EMR is not notified automatically as the alert indicates.
- Providers will receive an email confirmation from NewCrop after their Exostar credentials have been copied. Once credentials have been copied, the provider is able to transmit controlled substances in NewCrop.
NOTE: No additional token is ordered and shipped to the provider. The provider will use their existing hardware token and Authy app to prescribe controlled substances in NewCrop.
