Updated the Packaging options in compliance with NCPDP SCRIPT 2017. This eliminates several ambiguous options such as Container, Bag, Vial, Inhaler, or Tube. Several new packaging options were also added, such as Insert, Packet, Pad, Ring, and Strip.
Default drug mappings were also reviewed and improved. These should now more precisely associate drugs with the appropriate new forms. e.g. Restasis (formerly ampoule or vial) now maps to mL.
Added Film, Gum, and Implant, as Dosage Form options.
Following the updates to acceptable Dispense Forms, we have added a banner notice to assist users in proper selection of form. This notice appears above the Sig Builder and indicates recommended selection of grams or milliliters.
NCPDP is again permitting use of "Each" and "Not Specified" as Dispense Forms. These were previously blocked, and we have now removed this restriction.
