If you are signed up for EPCS, you will need to create and verify a four-digit EPCS PIN code.
Create Your PIN: the system will ask you to create a new PIN when you transmit an Rx.
- Enter a PIN in the DEA TFA window that pops up
- Confirm the PIN
- Click Validate PIN
- Enter the OTP from your Authy App or hardware token and click Authenticate.
Please note that if you normally use Push notifications, for this one step you are required to manually type in the 6-digit code from the Authy App and manually click Authenticate. Once this has been completed, the next controlled Rx that is sent your Push Notification button will display.
NOTE: Your PIN is four-digits and cannot be repeating or sequential numbers. Do NOT share your PIN.
Use Your PIN: Your PIN is required when transmitting controlled Rxs.
1. Enter your PIN and click Validate PIN
2. Enter your OTP using your hardware token or Authy App
Reset your EPCS PIN
A) If you enter your EPCS PIN incorrectly on the transmit page:
a. Click Reset PIN:
b. Enter a new 4-digit PIN, confirm it, and click Validate PIN.
c. Enter the OTP from your Authy App or hardware token and click Authenticate:
d. The system will display “New PIN Saved”
e. Click Return to Compose to take you back to the compose page and transmit the controlled Rx using your new EPCS PIN.
B) Reset your PIN in the Admin Tab
a. Click Manage EPCS PIN
b. Follow the same steps in Reset your EPCS PIN option A.
